About This Spot

Alfredo's Mexican Food in Bell Gardens offers a down-to-earth atmosphere that immediately feels like a staple neighborhood spot where familiar faces gather for reliably good Mexican fare. The pace here carries the gentle hum of busy chatter and laughter, blending the steady rhythm of a morning crowd with the warmth of casual afternoons spent catching up over hearty plates. It’s the kind of place where the outdoor seating invites you to settle in and enjoy the moment with friends or family, even as the day unfolds around you.

Behind the counter, everything is prepared fresh and made to order—a reassuring ritual that anchors the experience. Whether it’s the satisfying crunch of a hard shell taco or the generous, comforting layers of carne asada fries, each bite echoes with the care and tradition that have kept locals coming back for years. Even the extras, like rich guacamole or bright, fiery salsa, feel like thoughtful touches crafted to enhance rather than overwhelm.

The setting is unpretentious, a genuine slice of the local fabric. While the décor may lean towards practical over polished, the spirit here is undeniably authentic—welcoming and familiar rather than polished or staged. It’s a spot where the focus stays on good food and shared moments, where a busy parking lot and the buzz of neighborhood life remind you that you’ve found a place that’s well-loved and well-lived in.

Visitors often appreciate the reliable service behind the counter, the kind that makes you feel like a regular from the very first visit. It’s the kind of experience where flavors blend effortlessly with human warmth—where the spice of chiles and the sweetness of a horchata coexist alongside conversation and quiet smiles.

Tacos are overall good and consistent. Love that everything is made to order. I personally like their Crane asada, carnita, and hard shell potato tacos the most! You just can’t go wrong with these! Worth the wait. Yum.

Let me be honest, I've come here since 2005, they were across the street, I love their food, so to the SoCa Standard of mexican food, una porra for the AM crew, since I almost go in the morning all the time, but when I go afternoon, I would blast those Asada Nachos like my Mom made them, thanks so much for the hunger solving you all have done for me! I will be here the next time...

The burrito de Asada here was good. I enjoyed it. The horchata drink was a bit swwet but good. I appreciate the service here .

The flautas, super nachos or fries are delicious. This is the best Alfredos location in the area. They serve your flautas with the most toppings compared to their other locations. Would give them 5 stars if their rice and beans were better. It does get busy. There is parking. They have outside seating only. The atmosphere can be a little ghetto. The service is good. Have never had a bad experience. They attend as fast they can but the good food definitely takes some time and they do get busy. This place is not good for regular tacos or street tacos.

Carne asada fries are good. Order them with extra cheese +1.25$ and horchata is so yummy. Green sauce on the side 3 cups
